Shorts International Continues European Rollout of Free Short Film Channels with LG Launch

Free-to-view ad-supported (FAST) channels now available to LG TV users in UK, Italy and Spain

LONDON, February 23, 2022 – Shorts International, owner of ShortsTV, the global short film network, announces its latest platform deal for its highly popular free-to-view advertising supported short film channels, now available on LG Smart TVs initially in the UK, Italy and Spain.

The channels, under the ‘Shorts’ (UK and Italy) and ‘Cortos’ (Spain) brands, give millions more households across Europe additional access to a handpicked selection of ShortsTV’s 13,000 titles, including the world’s most popular short films.

Available on LG Smart TVs, including LG OLED TVs and LG QNED MiniLED TVs, viewers will be able to enjoy an expansive catalogue of some of the world’s best short films including a raft of Oscar winning and nominated shorts ranging from Martin McDonagh’s Academy Award winning comedy ‘Six Shooter’, starring Brendan Gleeson, to inspirational animation ‘One Small Step’. Spanning a range of genres from documentaries to comedies, the catalogue showcases diverse stories from across the globe, including ‘Short Calf Muscle’ from the Netherlands and ‘The Kicksled Choir’ from Norway, as well as films featuring some of Hollywood’s hottest stars including Oscar nominees Benedict Cumberbatch in ‘Inseparable’ and Olivia Colman in ‘The Karman Line.’
